EDUCATION

• Attended Ibrahim Secondary School in Sg Petani, Kedah

• Studied at Maktab Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim

• Studied at Universiti Sains Malaysia, 1982 – 1986

ROLES, EXPERIENCE, AND CONTRIBUTIONS

• President of Persatuan Bahasa Tionghua Universiti Sains Malaysia, 1983/84

• KLSCAH Youth Wing Leader, 1990 – 1992

• Deputy Managing Director of the Centre for Malaysian Chinese Studies, 1996 – 1999

• Taught biology in school

• Served as teacher at SMJK Yu Hua, Kajang in the 1990s

• Founded the Kajang Heritage Centre in 2000 and served as its director

• ADUN for Kajang, 2008 – 2013
